Championing many different issues from advocating to receive district specific funding, to water funding, and air quality programs, Senator Melissa Hurtado focuses on funding issues in the Central Valley, which are often forgotten by the rest of the state. As Chair of the Human Services Committee, she champions funding for many different programs from CalWorks, to foster care programs.
