2/22/21 - Currently, undocumented immigrants, DACA recipients, holders of temporary protected status, and certain visa holders are excluded from federal CalFresh and the state-funded food assistance program. Senator Melissa Hurtado seeks to change these rules with the introduction of the Food for All bill, to guarantee food assistance for all low-income people regardless of their immigration status.
