Senator Hurtado Joins Public Safety Officials & Community Leaders for New Farmersville Fire Station Groundbreaking Ceremony

FARMERSVILLE, CA – Senator Melissa Hurtado (D-Bakersfield) join public safety officials, city and county leaders, as well as community members for a groundbreaking ceremony at the future site of the City of Farmersville’s new Fire Station.

“It was a privilege to join Farmersville residents and community leaders, as well as firefighters, in celebrating the important occasion. The funding secured in the state budget will fund construction of a new fire station for the city’s fire department, empowering them to continue meeting the city’s needs for generations to come,” said Senator Hurtado. “Public Safety is my top priority, and I am always honored to work with our city’s firefighters wherever and whenever possible.”

“Farmersville will finally have its own Fire Station. This new facility will be built specifically for our Fire Department, because of Senator Hurtado's efforts to attain funds for this project,” said Farmersville Mayor Tina Hernandez. “Currently our Fire Department is operating out of city hall so this structure is more than just brick and mortar. It's a place our firefighters can call home, while feeling pride in what they do.”
