Senator Melissa Hurtado Issues Statement on California’s New State Budget Deal

SACRAMENTO, CA – Senator Melissa Hurtado (D-Sanger) issued the following statement on Governor Gavin Newsom and Democratic legislative leader’s new state budget deal:  

“Last week’s finalized budget agreement between Governor Gavin Newsom and the Democratic legislative leaders demonstrate the invaluable leadership we have here in California. I am excited to see several of my budget requests moving towards consideration by the Governor. Moreover, I applaud the countless hours of commitment by Senator Pro Tem Toni Atkins and my colleagues on the Conference Committee to deliver for diverse communities throughout our state.”
