Senator Melissa Hurtado Pushes Three Additional Bills to the Governor’s Desk

SACRAMENTO, CA – Last week, Senator Melissa Hurtado (D-Sanger) moved three additional bills to the Governor’s desk. The legislation, SB 351, SB 453 and SB 260 aims to provide unincorporated communities with access to implementation funding from the Transformative Climate Communities program, make it easier for older adults and people living with disabilities, as well as their families, to access support through additional funding, and help ensure Californians maintain health coverage.

“This year, we heard from the southern Central Valley about their need for further investment,” said Sen. Hurtado. “This legislative package is a representation of the work produced by our local leaders and I am beyond proud of our collective effort,” continued Sen. Hurtado.

The deadline for the Governor to sign the 2019-2020 legislative bills into law are October 13.
