Hello, neighbors,

With triple-digit temperatures continuing across the Valley, access to clean drinking water is essential. My office is partnering with the Earlimart School District and Niagara Bottling to provide emergency water distribution for Earlimart residents this Friday, Aug. 7, beginning at 8 a.m.
 

Supplies will be available while they last. Residents are encouraged to arrive early and help share this information with neighbors who need assistance.

During periods of extreme heat:

• Drink water regularly, even before feeling thirsty.
• Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
• Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.
• Never leave children, older adults or pets in a parked vehicle.
• Check on elderly relatives, neighbors and others who may be especially vulnerable.
• Seek a cool location if your home becomes dangerously warm.

During difficult moments, our community comes together. While progress has been made to address Earlimart’s most recent water service disruptions, permanent repairs remain a priority.

I have asked the State Water Resources Control Board to prioritize this issue, and I will continue pressing state leaders until reliable water service can be provided.
